Beginning therapy can bring up questions— and sometimes nerves, too. Below are answers to the things I’m asked most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, you’re always welcome to reach out
Click “Start Your Journey” or “Request an Appointment” anywhere on this site. You’ll be directed to my secure client portal, where you can complete a brief intake form and request a time that works for you. I’ll follow up personally to confirm and answer any questions before we meet.
The first session is about connection. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your history, and what you hope might feel different in your life. You’re welcome to share at your own pace. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away.
We’ll also discuss how I work, including EMDR, somatic approaches, and IFS. We'll approach your therapy sessions in away that is a good fit for you
If something feels stuck, overwhelming, or repetitive in your life, therapy can certainly help. You don’t need to be in crisis. Many clients seek therapy during life transitions, after relationship changes, while navigating grief, or when old trauma begins resurfacing.
If you’re in Florida and looking for trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, or anxiety support, this may be a supportive place to begin.
I am a private-pay practice and am not currently in-network with insurance providers. However, I can provide a superbill. This is a detailed receipt you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend calling your provider before your first session to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
- Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $150
- EMDR Session (90 minutes): $175
Secure online payments are accepted through the client portal.
Yes. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth therapy to clients anywhere in the state of Florida. Many people find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person therapy, and they appreciate being able to access support from the comfort of home.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish trust. Over time, we may transition to biweekly or as-needed sessions. We’ll determine a rhythm that supports your goals and fits your life.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps your brain reprocess traumatic or distressing memories so they lose their emotional intensity.
Using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping, we gently revisit memories in a safe and structured way. Over time, those memories become integrated rather than overwhelming. EMDR is effective for trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and deeply held negative beliefs formed earlier in life.
It means I look at the whole person, not just their thoughts or symptoms. Trauma and stress live in the nervous system and the body, not only in the mind.
My approach integrates:
- EMDR therapy
- Somatic awareness
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Cognitive-behavioral tools
- Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR)
We tend to your nervous system, emotional world, relationships, and inner parts together.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us: a protective part, a critical part, a wounded younger part, and many others.
IFS helps you develop compassion and leadership from your core Self, allowing those parts to soften and heal rather than compete or overwhelm you. It’s a gentle and powerful approach to resolving inner conflict and trauma.
Yes. What you share is confidential, with a few legal exceptions, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult.
We’ll review confidentiality in detail during your first session, so you feel clear and informed. Your privacy and safety are foundational to this work.
Completely. Almost everyone feels some nervousness before their first session. It takes courage to reach out. You don’t need to be perfectly ready. You don’t need the right words. Just come as you are.
